Own the Looks from the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Challenge

Tonight the auction begins for the Council for Fashion Designers of America (CFDA)/Vogue Fashion Challenge outfits, sponsored by Ann Taylor.  These one-of-a-kind looks will be auctioned off on Ebay starting at 4pm PST/7pm EST.  Preview the outfits here.

My personal favorite is from Gregory Parkinson - he and I share the same obsession with shirtdresses and I love his take on it.  Get your bid in early and happy shopping!

Fashion Friendly: Arkº

"Arkº is unique in that it's a not for profit movement that wants to promote an aspirational way of life through fashion."

Welcome to Arkº clothing - where its not just a brand and its even more than a statement.  Arkº is a commitment to do Acts of Random Kindness (Arkº) everytime you wear their label.  Its not a clothing line, its a movement.  Founded by Cameron Stewart in Ireland in 2008, Cameron's goal was not on money but on a lifestyle.  Every Friday, Arkº announces via Facebook their Friday Challenge - a simple Act of Random Kindness to perform that day with international responses.

Arkº sells T-shirts (25 euro, approx. 33 dollars) for guys and girls, and underwear for both as well - just in case you're in the mood for "undercover kindness."  Shipping costs 3 euro (approx. 4 dollars) and takes 3 business days.  Check them out here or on their facebook page here.

Complicated? And thus, a break

Remember that letter I wrote to Santa for brown boots? Well, I happened to get them, and the very next night my house was broken into and they were stolen, along with every electronic item in our house except for my ancient laptop. It's been a ride and I'm taking a break from blogging until things settle down and we can get some items back into our empty house. We are safe and we are coping slowly. Maybe someday I'll share the whole story. I'll be back in a few weeks, until then - happy shopping!
